Felix Fermin Autograph

Felix Fermin is a former professional baseball player originally from Mao, Dominican Republic. He was born on October 9, 1963, and started his professional career with the Seattle Mariners in the early 1980s. Fermin played mainly as a shortstop and proved to be an excellent fielder throughout his career. Fermin played professional baseball for twelve seasons, spending time with the Seattle Mariners, Cleveland Indians, Chicago White Sox, and the Pittsburgh Pirates. He had a career batting average of .258 and was particularly known for his speed on the basepaths. Fermin stole a total of 239 bases during his career and was a valuable asset as a leadoff hitter. He played in two World Series, one with the Mariners in 1995 and one with the Indians in 1997, but unfortunately, did not win a championship during his playing days.

After retiring as a player, Fermin stayed involved in baseball as a coach and manager. He served as a coach for the Cleveland Indians and managed the Akron Aeros, the Double-A affiliate of the Indians, for several seasons. Fermin was also a coach for the Taiwan national baseball team in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
