Fernando Tatis is a former Dominican Republic professional baseball player who played from 1997 to 2010. He was born on January 1, 1975, in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic. Tatis is best known for his two grand slams in one inning on April 23, 1999, making him the first player to ever accomplish this in a single inning in MLB history. Tatis played six seasons in the majors, primarily for the Montreal Expos and the St. Louis Cardinals.
