Floyd Bannister Autographs
Floyd Bannister was born in 1955 in Pierre, South Dakota. He was an American baseball player who played as a left-handed pitcher for the Seattle Mariners, Chicago White Sox, Texas Rangers, Kansas City Royals, and California Angels throughout his career.
Bannister began his professional baseball career when he was selected by the Houston Astros in the first round of the 1976 Major League Baseball draft. He made his Major League debut in 1977 with the Seattle Mariners. During his rookie season, he recorded an impressive 15 strikeouts in a single game, which is still a Mariners record. He played for the Mariners for three seasons before being traded to the White Sox, where he established himself as a solid starting pitcher.
Bannister was known for his impressive fastball and curveball pitches, and he had a successful career in Major League Baseball. He finished his career with a record of 134-143, 1,610 strikeouts, and a 4.06 earned run average (ERA). After retiring from baseball, he became a pitching coach, helping young pitchers to develop and refine their skills. Floyd Bannister was inducted into the Seattle Mariners Hall of Fame in 1992, and his legacy as a talented pitcher is still remembered by baseball fans around the world.
