Forrest Whitley Autographs
Forrest Whitley is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Houston Astros of Major League Baseball (MLB). He was born on September 15, 1997, in San Antonio, Texas, and grew up playing baseball from a very young age. Whitley played for Alamo Heights High School, where he quickly emerged as one of the most talented high school prospects in the country.
After high school, Forrest Whitley committed to play college baseball for Florida State University but eventually decided to sign with the Houston Astros after they selected him with the 17th overall pick in the 2016 Major League Baseball draft. Whitley made his professional debut in 2017 with the Quad Cities River Bandits of the Class-A Midwest League. In 2018, he was named the Astros' minor league pitcher of the year after posting a 12-7 record with a 2.83 ERA and 170 strikeouts in 26 games at the Double-A and high-A levels.
Whitley is known for having a high-velocity fastball and an excellent curveball, which have both been praised by scouts and coaches. Although he has struggled with injuries and inconsistent performance at times, he remains one of the top prospects in the Astros' farm system and is expected to have a bright future in the major leagues. With a promising career ahead of him, Forrest Whitley is poised to become one of the best young pitchers in baseball.
