Franklin Stubbs is a former professional baseball player who was born on October 21, 1960, in Laurinburg, North Carolina. He began playing baseball during his high school years and continued to do so when he enrolled at Virginia Tech, where he was a standout player. Although Stubbs never won any major awards during his career, he had several notable achievements. For example, in 1985, he helped the Dodgers win their second National League pennant in a row, and in 1988, he helped them win the World Series. Additionally, he hit 23 home runs in 1987 and 22 in 1990, which were both career highs. Stubbs retired from baseball in 1995 and, today, he works as a hitting coach for young baseball players.
