Glenn Braggs Autograph

Glenn Lawrence Braggs is a former professional baseball player born on October 17, 1962, in San Bernardino, California. He played collegiate baseball for the University of Hawaii, where he was awarded Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year in 1983. He was drafted in the second round by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 1983 MLB draft and made his Major League debut in 1986. Braggs played as an outfielder and first baseman, making frequent appearances as a pinch hitter for the Brewers. Braggs played for the Brewers from 1986 to 1991 before moving on to play for the Cincinnati Reds, where he played from 1992 to 1993. During his career, Braggs was known for his exceptional arm strength and helped lead the Brewers to the American League Championship Series in 1987. In 1990, he recorded a career-high .283 batting average with 12 home runs and 48 RBIs. While with the Reds, Braggs hit a career milestone by hitting the 1,000th home run in Riverfront Stadium’s history.

After his playing career, Braggs became a Major League Baseball scout and has remained involved in the sport. In addition, he has worked in broadcasting as both a radio and television commentator. Braggs has also remained active in charitable work, supporting organizations which help cancer patients and disabled athletes. Braggs remains a popular figure among baseball fans and is remembered for his powerful throwing arm and contributions to some of the best teams of his era.
