Grant Roberts Autographs
Grant Roberts was born on September 13, 1977, in Knoxville, Tennessee. He is a former American professional baseball player who played as a pitcher for the New York Mets between 2000 to 2003. Roberts made his Major League debut on August 21, 2000, against the Milwaukee Brewers. He had a memorable performance that day, where he pitched six innings of one-run ball to earn his first win in the majors.
Roberts had an impressive high school baseball career where he was named Pitcher of the Year during his senior year. After graduating, he went on to attend the University of Tennessee, where he pursued his passion for playing baseball. In 1998, Roberts was drafted in the 11th round by the Arizona Diamondbacks. However, he decided to continue his collegiate career, and two years later, he was once again drafted, this time in the fifth round by the New York Mets.
Despite being a talented pitcher, Roberts' baseball career was cut short by injuries. He was on and off the disabled list, and in 2003 he underwent Tommy John surgery. Roberts attempted to make a comeback with the Mets, but he struggled with injuries and didn't make it back to the majors. In 2006, he retired from baseball after playing a few seasons in the Minor Leagues. Today, Roberts lives in his hometown of Knoxville and remains involved in baseball as a coach and mentor to young athletes pursuing their dreams of playing baseball professionally.
