Blosser's baseball career began in 1989 when he was selected in the first round (16th overall) of the MLB draft by the Red Sox. He made his debut with the Red Sox on July 8, 1993, against the Seattle Mariners. During his rookie year, he played 38 games and hit four homers, 11 RBI, and had a batting average of .271. However, his career was plagued with injuries, and he played only 204 games in six seasons, batting .256 with 28 homers and 99 RBI.

Blosser's best year came in 1994 when he played 89 games and had 12 homers, 47 RBI, and a slugging percentage of .483. However, the MLB strike cut the season short, which also hurt his growth as a player. After his playing days were over, Blosser became the hitting coach for various Minor League Baseball Teams, and he is currently a hitting coach for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton RailRiders, the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees. Blosser's contribution to baseball, both as a player and a coach, will always be remembered in the MLB fraternity. Read even more about Greg Blosser at Wikipedia
