Greg Brock Autographs
Greg Brock is a former Major League Baseball first baseman who played for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers during his career. Brock was born on June 14, 1957, in McMinnville, Oregon, and grew up playing baseball in the local leagues. He played college baseball at the University of Wyoming, where he was a standout player, and was eventually drafted by the Dodgers in the third round of the 1978 Major League Baseball draft.
Brock made his Major League debut with the Dodgers in 1982 and quickly established himself as a solid hitter and first baseman. In his rookie season, he hit .312 with 20 home runs and 64 RBI, finishing second in the National League Rookie of the Year voting. He continued to be a consistent performer for the Dodgers over the next several seasons, helping the team win the World Series in 1988. In 1989, Brock was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers, where he played for three seasons before retiring in 1991.
Throughout his career, Brock was known for his excellent defensive skills and powerful left-handed swing. He finished his career with a .262 batting average, 123 home runs, and 499 RBI. After retiring from baseball, Brock returned to his home state of Oregon and became involved in the real estate industry. He also remained active in baseball, serving as a coach and mentor to young players in his community. Brock's contributions to the game of baseball earned him a place in the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame in 1997.
