Hank Aguirre Autographs
Hank Aguirre was a left-handed pitcher who played in the Major League Baseball from 1955 to 1970. Aguirre started his professional baseball career in 1949 when he was signed by the Cleveland Indians, but he didn't make his MLB debut until 1955 when he joined the team full-time. He played for the Indians for six seasons before being traded to the Detroit Tigers in 1960, where he spent the rest of his career.
Aguirre's best years were with the Tigers, where he had a career-high of 16 wins in 1962 and 1963. In 1962, he led the American League in strikeouts and complete games, and he finished ninth in the MVP voting that year. Aguirre was an All-Star for three consecutive years from 1962 to 1964, and he helped the Tigers win the American League Pennant in 1968.
Overall, Aguirre had a successful baseball career, finishing with a record of 75-72 and an ERA of 3.25. He was known for his accuracy, and he was one of the best pitchers in the league during the 1960s. After retiring from baseball, Aguirre owned a successful insurance company in California and remained involved in the baseball community until his death in 1994.
