Ian Snell is a former professional baseball player hailing from Dover, Delaware. Snell began his career as a pitcher in the minor leagues, joining the Pittsburgh Pirates organization in 2000 straight out of high school. He quickly rose through the ranks, earning a spot on the major league roster in 2004. Snell pitched for the Pirates for seven seasons, during which time he established himself as a consistent starter and recorded 503 career strikeouts.
