Ike Delock Autographs
Ike Delock was an American baseball player who played as a pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB). He was born on June 18, 1929, in Highland Park, Michigan. He attended the University of Michigan and began his professional career with the Boston Red Sox. Delock had a successful career, spanning over a decade, and was a prominent figure in the Red Sox club.
Delock made his debut for the Boston Red Sox in 1952 and played for six seasons before being traded to the Milwaukee Braves in 1958. He returned to the Red Sox in 1963, where he played his final season before retiring from professional baseball in 1964. He featured in a total of 304 games with a record of 84-75 and an ERA of 3.39.
Ike Delock’s most notable achievement was in the 1959 World Series when he pitched for the Milwaukee Braves. He allowed only two runs across two starts while striking out nine batters in 18 innings. Delock earned the reputation of being a reliable pitcher and was known for his pinpoint control, his exceptional curveball, and his ability to pitch deep into games. Even after retiring from baseball, he remained involved in the sport, serving for several years as a scout for several baseball teams, including the Detroit Tigers and Atlanta Braves.
