Durbin quickly established himself as a talented prospect, with a fastball that reached the mid-90s and a sharp breaking ball. He made his way through the minors and made his debut for the Twins on June 17, 2004, pitching a scoreless inning in relief. Later that season, he made his first start and earned his first major league win.

Throughout his career, Durbin encountered a number of setbacks, including injuries and inconsistent performance. Nevertheless, he remained dedicated to the game and played for over a decade, finishing with a respectable 5.03 earned run average over 110 games. Though he never achieved the level of stardom some had predicted, Durbin's baseball career was marked by perseverance and a love of the game. Read even more about J.D. Durbin at Wikipedia
