Jaime Jarrin Autographs
Jaime Jarrin is a legendary sports broadcaster known for his Spanish language coverage of Major League Baseball games. Born on December 10, 1935 in Quito, Ecuador, Jarrin attended the University of Guayaquil where he studied law. After moving to the United States in the mid-1950s, he began his career in broadcasting as a reporter for Radio Quito.
In 1959, Jarrin joined KWKW-AM, a Los Angeles-based Spanish-language radio station, where he became the voice of the Dodgers. He quickly established himself as a talented announcer and was soon recognized as one of the premier broadcasters in the business. Jarrin's signature call of "Se va, se va, y se fue!" (It's going, it's going, and it's gone!) has become a familiar refrain to millions of fans around the world.
Throughout his more than sixty years in the industry, Jarrin has been awarded numerous accolades in recognition of his contributions to the field of sports broadcasting. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1998 and has received numerous awards for his work as an individual broadcaster and as a member of the Dodgers broadcasting team. Despite his many achievements, Jarrin remains dedicated to his craft and to his fans, who continue to tune in to his broadcasts year after year.
