Jayson Nix Autographs

Jayson Nix is a former professional baseball player who spent eleven seasons playing in the Major Leagues. Born on August 26, 1982, in Dallas, Texas, Nix grew up in a baseball-loving family. His father, Bob Nix, played in the minors and coached high school baseball, while his brother Laynce Nix became an MLB outfielder.
Nix attended Midland High School in Texas, where he played baseball and football as a quarterback. In 2001, he was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the first round, 44th overall, and began his professional baseball career in their minor league system. Nix made his Major League debut in 2008 with the Rockies and played for several other teams, including the Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Indians, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Tampa Bay Rays.
Nix's career highlights include hitting his first career grand slam against the White Sox in 2012 as a member of the Yankees and playing in the 2013 postseason with the Indians. In total, he played in 603 MLB games, batting .212 with 43 home runs and 156 RBIs. Nix retired from professional baseball in 2016 and now works as a scout for the Cleveland Indians.
