Jeremy Jeffress was born on September 21, 1987, in South Boston, Virginia, USA. He began his baseball career at Halifax County High School, where he played as a pitcher. Jeffress was a star athlete in high school, and he quickly caught the eye of many college recruiters. However, he decided to forgo college and instead signed with the Milwaukee Brewers after being drafted in the first round of the 2006 MLB draft.
In 2007, Jeremy Jeffress began his professional career as a pitcher in the Milwaukee Brewers' farm system. It was a slow start for Jeffress, as he struggled with his fastball control and was suspended twice for violating the Minor League Drug Prevention Program. However, he continued to work hard and eventually made his major league debut for the Brewers in 2010. He quickly established himself as one of the most talented relief pitchers in the league, and he was named the Brewers' closer in 2016.
Throughout his major league career, Jeffress has played for multiple teams, including the Texas Rangers, Kansas City Royals, and Chicago Cubs. He has also been named an MLB All-Star in 2018 and has pitched in multiple postseason games.
