Jerry Kenney Autographs
Jerry Kenney, born on June 30, 1945, in St. Louis, Missouri, had a successful baseball career in the 1960s and 1970s. After attending high school in Wentzville, Kenney was signed by the New York Yankees as an amateur free agent in 1963. He spent his first four seasons in the minor leagues before joining the Yankees in 1967, where he made his major league debut.
Kenney played in the major leagues for six seasons, including four seasons with the Yankees and two with the Milwaukee Brewers. He played as a second baseman and third baseman and was known for his defensive skills. In his rookie season, Kenney played in 112 games with the Yankees and hit .240 with six home runs and 30 RBIs. His best season was in 1972, when he played in 153 games and batted .275 with eight home runs and 59 RBIs.
Despite his solid performances, Kenney's career was cut short due to injuries. After his release from the Brewers in 1974, he played one final season in the minor leagues before retiring from professional baseball. Throughout his career, Kenney was known for his hard work and dedication, and he remains a respected figure in the baseball community.
