Jerry made his Major League debut on September 10, 1993, pitching for the Expos against the Atlanta Braves. He played for several teams during his career including the Cincinnati Reds, Seattle Mariners, Philadelphia Phillies, and Kansas City Royals. Over the course of his career, Jerry pitched in 424 games, recording 37 saves and a 4.81 ERA. He retired in 2004 after a stint with the Triple-A Sacramento River Cats.

Jerry Spradlin’s most successful season was in 1996 when he pitched for the Cincinnati Reds. He appeared in 48 games, recording 10 saves and a 2.65 ERA. He was also a part of the Reds team that won the National League Central Division that year. Jerry is remembered as a dependable reliever who was reliable in clutch situations. He was able to pitch in multiple innings, which made him valuable to several teams throughout his career.
