Jim Dyck is a former American professional baseball outfielder and third baseman. Born on November 10, 1926, in Buffalo, New York, he began his career with the Chicago White Sox in 1946. Dyck played in Major League Baseball for nine seasons from 1946 until 1957. He played for the White Sox, Washington Senators, Baltimore Orioles, and Philadelphia Phillies during his career. Dyck's best season in the majors came in 1952 with the White Sox. He played in 127 games, recorded 113 hits, hit 12 home runs, drove in 52 runs and had a batting average of .255. This was one of five seasons where Dyck played more than 100 games in a year. He was a versatile player and could play both outfield and infield positions. Throughout his career, Dyck played in a total of 730 games and amassed 520 hits, 61 home runs, and 274 runs batted in.

After leaving the Major Leagues, Jim Dyck played in Minor League Baseball before retiring in 1961. He finished his minor league career with a batting average of .306, recording 1,206 hits in 1,167 games played. In 1966, Dyck was inducted into the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame. Jim Dyck was a hard-working and dedicated player throughout his baseball career, consistently showcasing his talent on the field for his teams.
