Jim Eppard Autographs

Jim Eppard is a retired American professional baseball player who played in the Major League Baseball (MLB) for six seasons. He was born on February 18, 1960, in South Gate, California. Eppard began his baseball career as an amateur player when he was 18 years old. He played baseball at Saddleback Junior College where he was seen by the scouts of the California Angels in 1979. He was then drafted by the California Angels during the ninth round of the 1980 Major League Baseball draft.
Eppard made his MLB debut in September 1987, playing as a first baseman for the California Angels. During his first year in the big leagues, he played in 18 games, hitting .225 with four RBI. He played for the Angels from 1987 to 1990 before he was traded to the Houston Astros. Eppard played in his final game in the MLB with the Astros in 1993. Throughout his career, he played a total of 201 games, hitting .240 with four home runs and 45 RBI.
After retiring from baseball, Eppard became a coach. He remained involved in baseball and coached for various teams, including the Houston Astros, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Washington Nationals. He also coached in the minor leagues for different teams including the Corpus Christi Hooks, Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, and Sacramento River Cats. Despite retiring from playing baseball, Eppard stayed involved in the game he loved and dedicated much of his time on grooming the next generation of baseball players.
