Sundberg spent 12 seasons with the Texas Rangers, where he solidified his reputation as an excellent defensive catcher, winning six Gold Gloves. Sundberg's defensive skills behind the plate were invaluable to the Rangers, and he was also able to contribute offensively as well. He was a three-time All-Star (1974, 1978, and 1979) and a member of the American League Championship team in 2010.
