At West Virginia, Joe continued to excel on the court. He was named to the All-Big East Second Team in his junior year and helped his team reach the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA tournament. Joe’s impressive performances caught the attention of NBA scouts, and he was selected 8th overall in the 2008 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks.

Joe’s NBA career, unfortunately, did not live up to his expectations. He struggled with injuries and inconsistent performances, and after just four years in the league, he announced his retirement from basketball. Despite his brief stint in the NBA, Joe’s college career and his status as a first-round draft pick have secured him a spot in the history of West Virginia basketball.
