Joe Cunningham was an American professional baseball player who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1954 to 1966. He was born on August 27, 1931, in Paterson, New Jersey, and grew up in San Francisco, California. Cunningham played primarily as a first baseman and outfielder for the Cardinals, Chicago White Sox, Washington Senators, and Cincinnati Reds during his 13-year MLB career. He was known for his excellent hitting skills and was a two-time All-Star in 1959 and 1960.
