John Butcher Autographs

John Butcher is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played from 1980 to 1988. Born on September 10, 1954, in Mobile, Alabama, Butcher grew up with a passion for baseball and played for his high school and college teams before being drafted by the Texas Rangers in the fourth round of the 1976 Major League Baseball draft.
Butcher made his major league debut on May 16, 1980, and played for the Texas Rangers for four seasons before being traded to the Cleveland Indians in 1984. He then played for the Seattle Mariners and the California Angels before retiring in 1988. Throughout his career, Butcher had a record of 47 wins and 58 losses with a 4.47 earned run average (ERA). He was known for his curveball, which he used as his primary pitch.
In addition to his time in the majors, Butcher also played in the minor leagues and in Japan. He was inducted into the Mobile Sports Hall of Fame in 1996 and remains a beloved figure in his hometown. After retiring from baseball, Butcher worked as a coach and instructor, passing on his knowledge and love of the game to future generations of baseball players.
