From 2007 to 2011, John Danks is renowned for his pitching style, which primarily focuses on Off-speed pitches, and his deceptive delivery. With the Chicago White Sox, Danks had an impressive career, with a 3.91 ERA, 1,201 strikeouts, and a record of 79-104 over 1735.1 innings pitched. His consistency in between games earned him two AL Pitcher of the Month awards, and he contributed significantly to the Chicago White Sox's 2008 playoff season - their first postseason appearance since 2005.

Unfortunately, starting in the 2012 season, John Danks struggled with injuries and underwent shoulder surgery in 2012, which sidelined him for almost the entire 2013 season. Danks was never able to regain his earlier form, and the Chicago White Sox opted to release him in 2016. Overall, John Danks is still regarded as one of the most promising pitching stars of his generation, and his four-seam fastball clocking in at 90 mph was a force to be reckoned with.
