John Halama was a former American Major League Baseball pitcher born on February 22, 1972, in Brooklyn, New York. Halama began his professional baseball career in 1994, after being picked in the 23rd round of the Amateur Draft by the Houston Astros. He played for nine different baseball teams over a span of 14 years. His career spanned from 1998 to 2008, and he played for the Houston Astros, Seattle Mariners, Oakland Athletics, Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Boston Red Sox, Washington Nationals, Baltimore Orioles, San Diego Padres, and the Cincinnati Reds.
