John Koronka Autographs
John Koronka is a former American professional baseball pitcher who enjoyed a successful career in the sport. He was born on July 30, 1980, in Clearwater, Florida. He attended Bishop Verot High School in Fort Myers, where he played baseball and was considered one of the best players in the school's history. Koronka's talent in baseball earned him a scholarship to attend the University of Florida. However, he forewent his college career and instead signed up with the Cincinnati Reds in 1998 as a pitcher.
Koronka made his Major League Baseball debut on May 24, 2005, for the Texas Rangers. During his debut season, he made 13 starts, earned a win-loss record of 6-5 and recorded an ERA of 5.69. Over the next few years, he played for Chicago Cubs and the Florida Marlins. This was the peak of his career, and he put up impressive numbers during his best seasons. In 2007, while playing for the Marlins, Koronka threw his first and only shutout of his career, striking out five while allowing only five hits in a 4–0 win over the New York Mets. He ended his MLB career with a win-loss record of 8-11, an ERA of 5.08, and 99 strikeouts.
After he retired from baseball, John Koronka launched his own baseball academy, where he trains young boys and girls and helps them hone their skills. He uses his experience and expertise to teach younger generations of baseball players the fundamentals of the game, including throwing, batting, and fielding. Koronka's love for the sport has not faded away, even after he hung up his boots. He remains involved in baseball, playing in the independent Atlantic League of Professional Baseball in 2015, where he played for the Somerset Patriots.
