John Loy Rocker, born October 17, 1974, is a former American professional baseball player. He was a left-handed relief pitcher who is best known for his time with the Atlanta Braves, where he was a key member of the team that won five consecutive National League East titles from 1995 to 1999. Rocker was drafted by the Braves in the 18th round of the 1993 MLB draft. He made his Major League debut in May 1998 and quickly gained a reputation as one of the most dominant relievers in the game. With a fastball that topped out at 99 miles per hour and a devastating slider, Rocker was nearly unhittable.
