John Tudor was born on February 2, 1954, in Schenectady, New York, and was a former professional baseball pitcher. He began his baseball career with the Boston Red Sox in 1979, but it wasn't until he joined the St. Louis Cardinals in 1985 that he started to make a name for himself. Throughout his baseball career, Tudor had a reputation for being a fierce and intense competitor on the field. He was known for his pinpoint accuracy, a devastating sinker, and a tough demeanor that helped him to intimidate batters. In his first full year with the Cardinals, Tudor won 21 games and posted a record of 10-2 in the postseason. He was also named the National League Championship Series MVP as he pitched two complete game shutouts in the five-game series.
