Schoop's first Major League Baseball (MLB) appearance came in September 2013 when he was called up to the Baltimore Orioles. Although his first season was short, he quickly showed that he was an impressive player. By 2015, Schoop was a consistent starter for the Orioles and set a career-high of 15 home runs that year. In 2017, Schoop had the most impressive year of his career, with 32 home runs and 105 RBIs. This earned him his first All-Star Game selection, cementing his status as one of the best second basemen in the league.

In 2018, Schoop was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers midway through the season before joining the Minnesota Twins in 2019. Currently, Schoop is playing for the Detroit Tigers, where he has continued to show his talent on the field. His career statistics include a batting average of .258, 141 home runs, and 461 RBIs.
