Jose Arredondo Autographs

Jose Arredondo was born on March 12, 1984, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He was a right-handed pitcher who played for the Los Angeles Angels and Cincinnati Reds in the Major League Baseball (MLB). Arredondo was known for his powerful fastball and slider.
Arredondo started his professional career in the Dominican Summer League with the Angels in 2002. He gradually climbed up through their minor league system until he was called up to the major leagues in 2008. He made his debut against the Oakland Athletics on April 14, striking out the side in the eighth inning. Arredondo was a key part of the Angels' bullpen that year, earning a 10-2 record and a 1.62 earned run average (ERA) in 52 games. He finished third in the voting for the American League Rookie of the Year Award. After a frustrating 2009 season, Arredondo was sidelined with a torn elbow ligament and underwent Tommy John surgery. He returned to the Angels in 2011, but his effectiveness had decreased, and he was released after the season. Arredondo then signed with the Reds, where he pitched for two seasons before being released in 2013. Despite his short career, Arredondo remains a fan favorite and is remembered for his impressive rookie year.
Outside of baseball, Arredondo was known for his outgoing personality and his love for his family. He spoke frequently about his desire to give back to his community in the Dominican Republic and worked with the Angels Baseball Foundation to support various charities. Tragically, on July 16, 2019, Arredondo was found dead in his home in Mexico. The cause of death was reported to be blunt force trauma, and the investigation into the case is still ongoing. Despite the tragic end to his life, Arredondo's talent on the diamond and his dedication to others are fondly remembered by his fans and loved ones.
