Jose Molina is a retired Puerto Rican professional baseball player who is known for his excellent defense behind the plate as a catcher. He was born on June 3, 1975, in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, and started his professional career as a catcher in the Milwaukee Brewers organization after being drafted in the eighth round in 1993. Molina had a successful career as a catcher and was renowned for his excellent skills and instincts for calling pitches. He was considered one of the best defensive catchers in the game and was praised for his ability to work with pitchers and call a game. He was also a team leader and was an instrumental part of the team's success. Over the course of his career, he played 15 seasons, accumulating a batting average of .233, 39 home runs, and 213 RBIs. However, Molina's greatest contributions were his ability to manage the pitching staff and control the game from behind the plate.

Molina retired from professional baseball after the 2014 season and currently serves as a catching coordinator for the Los Angeles Angels. He is the youngest of the Molina brothers, who all played in the Major Leagues as catchers, including Bengie and Yadier.
