Josh Bard Autographs
Josh Bard was born on March 30, 1978, in Ithaca, New York. He attended Cherry Creek High School in Colorado and then went on to attend Texas Tech University for college where he was a standout catcher. He was drafted in the third round of the 1999 MLB draft by the Colorado Rockies.
He made his major league debut with the Indians in 2002 and spent time with several teams throughout his career including the Boston Red Sox, San Diego Padres, and the Seattle Mariners. He was primarily a catcher, but also played some first base and outfield. Bard was known for his strong arm behind the plate and his ability to work well with pitchers.
In his career, Bard had a .254 batting average with 39 home runs and 220 RBI. He was also known for his clutch hitting, providing many game-winning hits throughout his career. After retiring from playing, Bard went on to work in front office roles with the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees.
