Josh Thole was selected by the New York Mets in the 13th round of the 2005 Major League Baseball draft. After a few years of training and struggling, he made his Major League debut for the Mets in 2009, where he spent four seasons as their primary catcher. In 2012, he was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays, where he spent the next three seasons of his career. In 2013, he hit .286 and did not commit an error in all 84 games, earning him a gold glove nomination.

Towards the end of his illustrious career, he joined the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2017, but injured himself during spring training, and he missed the entire 2017 season. Despite being out of the game for a while, he joined the Detroit Tigers in 2018 spring training in hopes of securing a roster spot, but unfortunately, he was released before the start of the season. Nevertheless, Josh Thole will always be remembered as an amiable, dedicated, and skillful catcher who contributed so much to the world of Baseball. Read even more about Josh Thole at Wikipedia
