Josh Towers is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played for five different teams over his 10-year career. Born in Port Hueneme, California in 1977, Towers attended Oxnard High School where he played baseball and football. He was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 15th round of the 1996 MLB draft but did not make his professional debut until 2001. More about Josh Towers

After several years in the minor leagues and a brief stint with the Orioles, Towers was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays in 2003. It was with the Blue Jays that he had his most successful season in 2005, winning 13 games and posting a 3.71 ERA. He was also named the American League Pitcher of the Month in September of that year. Towers continued to bounce around the league, playing for the New York Yankees, Colorado Rockies, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Cincinnati Reds before retiring in 2010.

Towers finished his career with a record of 45-55 and a 4.95 ERA. While he was never a star player, he was a solid presence on the mound and had a reputation as a hard worker and team player. After retiring, Towers became a television analyst for Blue Jays games and continued to be involved in charity work, particularly with the Jays Care Foundation.
