Juan Soto was born on October 25, 1998 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. From a young age, he thrived at playing baseball and started playing in Little League tournaments at just eight years old. Throughout his youth, he played for various teams in his hometown, honing his skills as a batter and outfielder. Soto began his minor league career in 2016, playing for the Gulf Coast League Nationals. He quickly worked his way up the minor league ranks, playing for the Hagerstown Suns, Potomac Nationals, and Harrisburg Senators, where he hit a remarkable .371 in 2018. He was then called up to the Washington Nationals in May 2018, where he became a sensation almost immediately. In his debut game, he hit a home run on the first pitch he saw, becoming the first teenager to hit a home run in a Major League game since 2012.
