Keegan Akin Autographs
Keegan Akin is a talented left-handed pitcher who was born on April 1, 1995, in Detroit, Michigan. He attended the Bullock Creek High School in Midland, Michigan, where he played baseball and basketball. Despite his passion for basketball, Akin excelled in baseball and was eventually drafted by Baltimore Orioles in the second round of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft.
After signing with Baltimore Orioles, Keegan Akin started his professional baseball career in 2016, playing for the Aberdeen Ironbirds in the Class A Short-Season New York-Penn League. He had a fantastic debut season and was named to the NYPL All-Star team. In 2017, Akin played for the Delmarva Shorebirds in the Class A South Atlantic League, where he had an impressive record of 7-8 with a 3.27 ERA. He was named to the South Atlantic League All-Star team that year.
Akin continued to progress through the minor league and made his major league debut on August 14, 2020. He started against the Philadelphia Phillies, where he pitched 4 ⅓ innings and allowed one run while striking out six batters. Despite being very new to the majors, Akin has shown tremendous potential and could be a valuable asset to the Baltimore Orioles.
