Ken Dixon Autographs
Ken Dixon is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who was born on October 22, 1960, in Monroe, Louisiana. After attending high school in Monroe, he was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the second round of the 1979 Major League Baseball Draft. He went on to pitch for the Orioles from 1984 until 1987.
During his four seasons with the Orioles, Dixon had a record of 38 wins and 29 losses with an earned run average of 4.25. He was particularly effective in the 1985 season, when he won 14 games and had a 3.30 ERA. Dixon was an integral part of the Orioles pitching staff during this period, and his contributions to the team did not go unnoticed. In fact, he was voted the Orioles' Most Valuable Player by the local media in 1985.
Dixon's baseball career eventually came to an end in 1991, when he was released by the Seattle Mariners. However, he left a lasting impression on Baltimore Orioles fans, who remember him as a reliable starting pitcher who gave his all every time he took the mound. Even though he never achieved the kind of stardom that some of his contemporaries did, he remains a part of baseball history and a testament to the perseverance that it takes to succeed at the highest level of the sport.
