Ken Ryan Autographs
Ken Ryan was a professional baseball player born on October 24, 1968, in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. He attended Seekonk High School in Massachusetts, where he played both baseball and football. He was eventually drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the second round of the 1989 MLB draft.
Ryan began his baseball career in the minor leagues, playing for the Elmira Pioneers, Winter Haven Red Sox, and New Britain Red Sox, among others. He made his major league debut with the Red Sox on September 1, 1992, against the Texas Rangers. He played in the majors for five seasons, from 1992 to 1996, mainly as a relief pitcher. Over the course of his career, he played for the Boston Red Sox, the Philadelphia Phillies, and the Montreal Expos. He ended his career with a record of 14-6 and a 3.87 ERA in 236 games.
After retiring from baseball, Ryan went into coaching and became a pitching coach for several minor league teams, including the Vermont Lake Monsters, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, and the Dunedin Blue Jays. He also served as a field coordinator for the Toronto Blue Jays. Ryan's baseball career was marked by hard work, perseverance, and a passion for the game that he instills in the players he coaches today.
