Kevin Baez Autographs
Kevin Baez is a former professional baseball player from Brooklyn, New York. He was born on October 10, 1967, and grew up in a family of baseball enthusiasts. Baez’s love for the game began at an early age, and he started playing for his local little league team. He attended South Shore High School in Brooklyn, where he caught the attention of scouts for his excellent skills in the field.
Baez was drafted by the New York Mets in the seventh round of the 1988 Major League Baseball draft. He made his debut for the team on September 1, 1990, and played for them until 1993. Baez later played for other teams including the Baltimore Orioles, Cleveland Indians, and the Minnesota Twins. During his professional baseball career, Baez primarily played as a shortstop, and he was known for his impressive glove work and his ability to make accurate throws to first base consistently.
After his playing career, Baez transitioned into coaching, starting as a minor league manager for the New York Mets organization in 2003. He later became a coach for the Long Island Ducks, an independent professional baseball team, before eventually becoming their manager in 2011. As the manager of the Long Island Ducks, he led the team to three Atlantic League championships in 2012, 2013, and 2019. Despite retiring from baseball in 2020, Baez is considered one of the best players and managers in New York history.
