Kimera Bartee Autographs
Kimera Bartee is a former Major League Baseball player who was born on July 21, 1972, in Joliet, Illinois. He played for four different teams throughout his nine-year career in the league. Bartee was primarily known for his electrifying speed on the field, which made him an asset in both the outfield and on the basepaths.
Bartee began his professional baseball journey when he was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the seventh round of the 1993 Major League Baseball draft. He spent three seasons in the minor leagues before making his debut with the Reds in 1996. However, he only played in 15 games that season before being traded to the Detroit Tigers in 1997. It was with the Tigers that Bartee had his best seasons. He played there for four years and started in right field for most of the 1998 and 1999 seasons.
After his time with the Tigers, Bartee went on to play for the Colorado Rockies and San Diego Padres before ending his career with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2003. In total, he played in 397 games and had 427 hits, 168 runs, and 69 stolen bases. Although his career may not have been prolific, his contribution to the teams he played for was undeniable. Bartee’s speed and defensive skills were instrumental in many of his team’s victories. After retiring from baseball, Bartee went on to become a minor league coach and then joined the coaching staff of the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2011 as their first base coach.
