Koyie Hill is a former American Major League Baseball catcher. He was a switch hitter and threw right-handed. Born on March 9, 1979, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Koyie Hill was a standout athlete during his high school days. He played baseball, football, and basketball, but baseball was his first love. In 2000, Hill was drafted in the fourth round by the LA Dodgers. He played in their minor league system for five years before finally making his debut with the club on September 29, 2006. He only had one at-bat during the 2006 season. Hill then played four seasons with the Chicago Cubs from 2007-2010. During his stint with the Cubs, he served as a backup catcher and filled in as a starter when Geovany Soto dealt with injuries. Koyie Hill also played for several other Major League teams, including the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Miami Marlins.
