Kris Bubic Autographs
Kris Bubic is an American professional baseball player who currently plays as a pitcher for the Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball (MLB). He was born on August 19, 1997, in San Jose, California. He played college baseball at Stanford University, where he was named as the Pac-12 Conference Pitcher of the Year and an All-American in 2019.
During the 2018 MLB draft, Bubic was picked by the Kansas City Royals in the second round, with the 40th overall pick. He signed with the Royals and began playing professional baseball in their minor league system. Bubic quickly distinguished himself as a promising pitching prospect in the Royals' organization, making his debut with the Wilmington Blue Rocks in 2019. He finished his first season with a 7-10 record, 2.23 ERA, and 185 strikeouts in 149 innings pitched.
Bubic was called up to the majors for the first time in 2020 and made his debut against the Chicago White Sox on July 31. He finished his rookie season with a 1-6 record, a 4.32 ERA, and 47 strikeouts in 50 innings pitched. Despite the relatively modest numbers, Bubic showed flashes of brilliance, striking out 10 batters in a game against the Detroit Tigers in September. He is expected to continue to develop and improve as a pitcher in the years to come, and he remains a key part of the Royals' long-term plans.
