Dickson made his major league debut on May 5th, 1990, and had an impressive rookie season with a record of 5-5 and an ERA of 3.66. He continued to pitch for the Cubs for the next two seasons but struggled with injuries and inconsistency. In 1993, he was traded to the Florida Marlins, where he played for one season before retiring due to recurring injuries.

Despite his short career, Dickson left a mark on the baseball industry. In 1990, he was named the Cubs' Minor League Pitcher of the Year and was also recognized as a top prospect within the league. Though he never reached the superstar status in the majors, his contributions to the game were widely acknowledged by his peers and fans alike. Today, he is remembered as a promising young pitcher whose potential was unfortunately cut short by injuries. Read even more about Lance Dickson at Wikipedia
