Larry Jackson Autographs

Larry JacksonLarry Jackson was a former Major League Baseball pitcher born in Nampa, Idaho, in 1931. He signed with the St. Louis Cardinals organization in 1951, and it didn't take long for him to make his way into the big leagues. Jackson made his debut on May 1, 1955, at just 23 years old. He spent six seasons with the Cardinals, during which time he was a reliable starter and a two-time All-Star. In 1962, Jackson was traded to the Chicago Cubs, where he had his best season, winning 14 games and pitching 17 complete games.
Jackson's lengthy baseball career spanned over a decade, making him one of the game's stalwarts in the '50s and '60s. In 1963, he was dealt to the Philadelphia Phillies and pitched two seasons of solid baseball. He went on to play for several more teams, including the Atlanta Braves, the Oakland Athletics, and the Pittsburgh Pirates, before eventually retiring in 1968. Throughout his career, Jackson amassed an impressive 194-183 record, with 83 complete games and 29 shutouts.
Larry Jackson was known as one of the league's most consistent starters, racking up wins and complete games throughout his career. He finished with a career ERA of 3.40 and was one of the most reliable pitchers of his time. Jackson's skills earned him numerous accolades, including being honored as an All-Star in two seasons, and receiving votes for the National League MVP Award four times. After his playing days were over, Jackson moved into coaching and scouting, working with various organizations both in Major and Minor League systems. Larry Jackson will always be remembered as a class act on and off the field and a player who gave his all for the game he loved.
