Lou Dials Autographs

Lou Dials was born on January 1, 1903, in Yazoo City, Mississippi, and was an American baseball player in the Negro leagues. He played primarily as a second baseman and was known for his excellent defensive skills, quickness, and strong throwing arm. Dials began his baseball career in 1922 with the Memphis Giants, a team in the Negro Southern League. He soon moved on to play for other teams such as the Birmingham Black Barons and the Chicago American Giants.
Dials has a long list of accomplishments during his baseball career, making him a standout player. He played in several East-West All-Star games and was recognized as one of the best second basemen in the Negro leagues. In 1933, he was part of the Chicago American Giants team that won the Negro National League championship. Dials retired from baseball in 1946 and was inducted into the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame in 1971.
During his time playing baseball, Dials faced the challenges of segregation and discrimination. However, he always kept his focus on the game and became one of the most respected players of his time. Today, Lou Dials is remembered as a trailblazer in the history of African American baseball, cementing his place in the sport's storied history.
