Manny Pina is a professional baseball catcher from Venezuela who has played for several major league teams. He was born on June 5, 1987, in Barquisimeto, Venezuela. Pina's baseball career began in 2005 when he signed with the Texas Rangers as an amateur free agent. He played for the Rangers' minor league teams until 2009, when he was traded to the Kansas City Royals organization. In 2012, Pina underwent Tommy John surgery, which forced him to miss the entire season. He returned to play in the minor leagues in 2013 and 2014. Pina then played for the Detroit Tigers and the Seattle Mariners in 2015 and 2016, respectively. However, most of his success came during his tenure with the Milwaukee Brewers.

Pina was signed by the Brewers in 2017 and has been with the team ever since. He is known for his defensive skills and strong arm behind home plate, leading to a high rate of caught stealing attempts. His offensive numbers have also improved over time, hitting a career-high .279 with nine home runs and 43 RBIs in 2019.
