Mark Clear Autographs
Mark Clear is a former professional baseball relief pitcher. He was born on May 27, 1956, in Los Angeles, California. Clear began his baseball career in 1974 when he was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the third round of the amateur draft. Clear spent a few years in the minor leagues before making his major league debut with the California Angels in 1979.
Clear spent the next nine seasons in the major leagues, playing for the Angels, Boston Red Sox, Milwaukee Brewers, and San Francisco Giants. He was known for his fastball and slider pitches, which he used to strike out a lot of batters. Clear had a career record of 71 wins and 49 losses, a 3.85 ERA, and 882 strikeouts. He retired from baseball in 1990 after 12 seasons in professional baseball.
After his retirement, Clear remained involved in baseball. He worked as a pitching coach for several minor league teams, including the Spokane Indians, Everett AquaSox, and Salem-Keizer Volcanoes. In 2018, Clear was inducted into the Pacific Coast League Hall of Fame. His contributions to baseball and his remarkable career continue to inspire many aspiring players and coaches today.
