Marty Brennaman Autographs

Marty Brennaman is a legendary sports broadcaster, best known for his 46-year stint as a play-by-play announcer for the Cincinnati Reds. Born in Portsmouth, Virginia in 1942, Brennaman developed a love for sports and broadcasting at a young age. After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1965, he began his broadcasting career with the Winston-Salem Red Sox of the Carolina League.
In 1974, Brennaman was hired by the Cincinnati Reds to replace veteran broadcaster Al Michaels. He quickly became a fan favorite with his animated commentary and signature catchphrases, such as "And this one belongs to the Reds!" He would go on to call many memorable moments in Reds history, including the team's five World Series appearances and two championships in 1975 and 1976.
Brennaman has been honored numerous times for his contributions to baseball broadcasting. He was inducted into the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association Hall of Fame in 1999 and the Reds Hall of Fame in 2005. He also received the Ford C. Frick Award from the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2000, cementing his status as one of the greatest baseball broadcasters of all time. Brennaman retired from broadcasting in September 2019, leaving a lasting legacy in the world of baseball.
