Marty Keough Autographs
Marty Keough, born Richard Martin Keough on April 14, 1934, in Oakland, California, was a professional baseball player who spent 11 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB). He primarily played as an outfielder, but also saw time as a pinch hitter and first baseman. Keough made his MLB debut on April 21, 1956, with the Boston Red Sox.
Throughout his career, Keough played for six different teams, including the Boston Red Sox, Cleveland Indians, Washington Senators, Cincinnati Reds, Atlanta Braves, and Chicago Cubs. He accumulated a .242 batting average, 434 hits, 43 home runs, and 176 RBIs over 841 games. His best season came in 1962 with the Cincinnati Reds, where he hit .278 with 7 home runs and 27 RBIs in 111 games.
Keough's baseball legacy extends beyond his own career. He is the brother of Joe Keough and the father of Matt Keough, both of whom also played in the MLB. After retiring from professional baseball in 1966, Marty Keough left behind a respectable career as a utility player who contributed to multiple teams across both the American and National Leagues.
